7 Instagram Accounts to Follow for Female Creatives
As a female creative and entrepreneur, it’s always encouraging to see others like us winning. I get so inspired when I read about struggle-victory stories—how a woman started a business and made it. Whatever “made it” means to them. It motivates me to keep working hard and accomplishing my goals!
Everyone needs that inspiration, don’t you agree? So, since we spend a lot of time scrolling through Instagram posting our own content and connecting with others, I’m sharing some of my favorite accounts for entrepreneur stories, business advice and creativity inspo below.
Since I decided to launch my photography business, I’ve been following Create & Cultivate. It’s the ultimate destination for female creatives, in my opinion. Through conferences and online content, they speak to every aspect of a successful career as a creative, and I can’t get enough! I loved reading their post on preparing for self-employment. So many nuggets! I’m planning to attend their event in Miami in December. So excited!
WorkParty is under the umbrella of Create & Cultivate, and the namesake for the founder Jaclyn Johnson’s book! I’m currently reading it, and it’s truly a page-turner. To celebrate my blog launch, I’m giving away the book, so be sure to head over to my Instagram to enter! They’re currently running a #WorkPartyTour, which I’m planning to attend in Miami in October. Let me know if you’ll be there too!
I stumbled upon Babe Crafted while searching through local Tampa hashtags on Instagram, and immediately signed up for their newsletter! They post member spotlights--my favorite thing because I can read about and connect with local female-led businesses. They also provide a ton of resources, such as local events, job postings (you can also post your own listings if you're looking to hire someone) and business advice for entrepreneurs. I love one of their recent blog posts about knowing your worth, as it relates to setting your prices for your business. It's a must-read!
If you’re looking for some pretty, inspiring photos for your workspace, home and or wardrobe, Glitter Guide is the place to go! Every Instagram post is save-worthy, seriously. They are the brand behind the A Color Story app, if you’ve ever used the filters for your photos and the #flashesofdelight hashtag. I use it quite a bit on my photos! I love their home and office tours. Definitely using as a resource for inspo for our new place!
The Everygirl posts content for career-driven women, and it doesn't disappoint! I'm in website mode, and their recent article on how to understand and improve your website traffic is spot on for successful marketing. They also share shopping content, home décor inspo and really amazing career advice, whether you're climbing the corporate ladder or an entrepreneur.
Another local community for creatives that I stumbled upon on Instagram is Tuesdays Together Tampa Bay (local chapter of Rising Tide Society). I love that this group promotes community over competition, in that we can accomplish more together than trying to compete with each other. I attended my first event last month, and had the best time! I learned about how to strengthen my brand, and took away some tips that I started using right away. Being an entrepreneur can be lonely at times, so it's great to get to know other like-minded business owners. There's another event coming up on 9/11, and I highly encourage you to attend if you're free!
If you need a website for your business, Go Live is a one-stop shop for beautiful, user-friendly, customizable templates! They also post gorgeous content on Instagram, and super helpful, actionable business advice for launching a successful website and landing clients fast. I took so many notes from their post on writing website content. You definitely want to read it if you’re planning to launch or relaunch your website!
