Home Office Brand Photoshoot for Online Business Coach

Want to do a brand shoot in your home office, but aren’t sure where to start?

First, confirm a few details:

  • Does the space have a large window and a good amount of natural light shining in?

  • If so, what time of day does the sun shine the brightest into the space?

  • If not, I recommend investing in a ring light or soft boxes. You can find lighting in various price ranges. My go-to brand is Neewer, and you can find tons of lighting on Amazon .

First things first, you don’t need a fully decorated space to create beautiful images! A desk, chair, wall art, book shelf and plant will fill the space and give your photographer enough details to shoot.

Some of my favorite affordable brands to shop for home office decor are Target, IKEA, Home Goods, At Home and World Market. Check out some of the items I’ve purchased for my studio and home office below:

Need content ideas? Add these to your shot list:

  • Working at your computer

  • Having a virtual call

  • Writing in your journal, agenda or on your desk calendar

  • Pulling your favorite books off the shelf, standing/sitting and reading them and a detail shot of a stack of them

  • Holding your favorite mug while standing and or sitting

  • Authority poses

The key to shooting in your home office is to switch up your outfits and poses for variety.
