7 Ways to Use Your Brand Photos in Your Marketing Strategy

Do you feel like you aren’t getting the most out of your brand photos? You invested in a brand photoshoot, and now have a beautiful collection of images to use in your marketing. But, you aren’t sure where to start or how to get the results you want, whether it’s selling a product or service or landing your first paid brand partnership. Keep reading to find out how you can create a solid marketing strategy with your brand photos, and connect with your target audience.

  1. Social Media

So the first way, and probably the most popular is on social media specifically with Instagram and Facebook. And that is a great way. If you are really invested in your social media marketing, as you should be, it's a great way to use your brand photos, to establish your brand aesthetic, to build up your authority in your industry or your niche.

Also to build confidence, especially if you’re starting a business, launching a new product or service, or do brand collaborations as a content creator. So you can use them all over social media. Specifically with Instagram, you can use them in-feed, Reels covers, Stories, graphics if you're creating carousel or static posts. Social media is a powerful tool in your marketing, and you want to use your brand photos across social media for consistency.

Update your profile photo to stand out. If someone is scrolling through and they see your face pop up, they know it's you. It helps with brand recognition.

2. Website

If you’re launching a new website or rebranding, you may have heard it's time to get updated brand photos.

Now, you don't necessarily need professional photos with a professional photographer on your website or social media, especially if you’re just starting out and have a smaller budget. But, it is important for your visuals to be super crisp and tell the story of what you do, who you serve and what you can offer your audience.

You can take beautiful photos on your phone. If you're just getting started in your business and you may not be able to hire a photographer, don't let that hold you back from launching your business and marketing your offers. Add your brand photos on your company website, such as your home page, about page, services page, any sales pages you have, your link in bio page for social media, and your contact page.

Pro Tip: I'd highly recommend creating a link in bio page on your website, rather than a third-party site with various links to what you’re promoting at the time on social media. This provides direct links to your offers, and is great for SEO. Plus, you can track your page analytics all in one place.

If you have a digital product shop or you have various sections on your website where you’re selling products, you want to add a personal brand photo to make that connection with your customers.

3. Blog

If you’re blogging for your business or your personal brand, you want to have photos of you that tell the story of your brand, and establish you as the go-to for what you offer. Add them to your blog post covers and inside your blog posts for brand recognition. If you have a sidebar on your blog, add your brand photo, linking to your about page, so folks can learn more about you.

4. E-mail Marketing

If you aren’t leveraging email in your business, you definitely want to start. E-mail marketing creates direct communication with your audience, customers and clients, and drive those conversions.

Social media is a powerful tool, but e-mail helps you to make that personal, direct connection. You can use your brand photos in the header and the body of the email. If a customer or client purchases something from you, you can send them a confirmation email or welcome email and a nurtture sequence, with a photo of you in the body.

Incorporate your brand photos to send e-mails to folks on your list who aren’t ready to buy from you yet, or if you want to upsell them. Or if you’re launching a new lead capture or freebie to add new leads to your funnel, incorporate your brand photos in the confirmation and follow-up e-mails. Folks are subscribed to many newsletters, so adding that personal connection helps with brand recognition.

5. Speaking Engagements

Speaking engagements can be many different things, like being a podcast guest, launching a masterclass or webinar, courses and speaking at conferences, online events.

You want to have brand photos or headshots that you can send/use to promote that you are speaking. I've been a guest on several podcasts over the last few years that I've been in business, and I've always been asked, “Can you send us a headshot?”

So make sure you have them on hand to send.

6. Digital Products

If you’re wanting to expand your audience, and make passive income, consider creating and selling digital products, especially if you’re a service-based business. It establishes a connection with a wider audience, and can create stability in your business.

For example, if you’re passionate about personal style and work with local clients 1:1, you may want to create an e-book or guide to establishing personal style, for folks who aren’t local. If you’e a real estate agent work with local clients, you may want to create a guide for either new real estate agents or first-time homebuyers.

Use your brand photos inside those digital products like eBooks and guides so the purchaser associates you as the expert in on the topic of your digital product.

7. Pinterest

Use your brand photos in Pinterest graphics! Some may consider Pinterest as social media, but it's actually not. Pinterest is a search engine, like Google. Only it delivers images rather than mostly text. Use Pinterest pins to connect with your ideal client and sell your products, services, and drive traffic to your blog, website and other online platforms.

Promote your content on Pinterest with strong visuals such as your brand photos and videos to get the viewer’s attention, and cause them to click on a link to your product or service, or if it's a brand who may want to collaborate with you.
