Poses to Try With Your Camera (for Photographers and Content Creators)

Photographers: Invest in your branding!

If you want to stand out in a sea of millions of photographers, just sharing portfolio work and an occasional photo of you on your feed isn’t going to cut it.

Invest in a collection of photos of you with your camera, so potential clients think of you first when they’re ready to book a shoot for their business.

If you’re a brand photographer, you absolutely need brand photos of yourself to not only promote your services, but to practice what you preach.

Your perceived value goes up when you invest in your brand.

Establish your brand colors, font pairings, elements and overall aesthetic. I recommend working with a brand designer, but if you don’t have the budget for it yet, purchase a pre-made brand kit if they offer it or create a brand kit in Canva.

Pro tip: Record various videos of yourself with your camera to use for social media content like reels. I will often film videos of myself with my camera while my client is changing outfits. I can then use the video over and over again in different ways.

Which of these poses will you try with your camera?
