Brand Photoshoot for Tampa Real Estate Agent

Establishing a personal brand is important, but how do you go about it?

Well, a personal brand is more than just headshots. It’s how your audience remembers and experiences you. It’s your personality, the information you share and how you add value to those around you (both online and in-person.) Your visuals help up level your brand in a way that shows your personality, personal style and the work you love to do. When you’re creating visuals for your personal brand, consider how you want to show up. What is the vibe? Do you want to be more laid back, more polished or right in the middle?

Most clients come to me because they want imagery that falls somewhere in the middle of casual and carefree, but also professional and polished. They want the images to feel authentic to them, not cookie cutter. I’m very intentional about bringing out their beauty but also the real them. It’s important as a branding professional to move away from doing what you always do, and really observe your client as you’re working with them.

How to Create Authentic Personal Brand Photos

When you’re establishing your personal brand through visuals, you can communicate it through:

Your wardrobe. Choose the colors you want to wear, and ensure they’re cohesive with your brand color palette. If you aren’t familiar with color theory, checkout this resource. Choose the style of outfits. I recommend incorporating both casual and more dressed up pieces, for variety. Maybe half of your looks are business wear and the other half are denim, athleisure and loungewear. P.S. You can look professional without a suit and heels!

The location. Think about locations that make sense for both your brand and your industry. You don’t want your ideal client to feel confused about what you do. If you’re a real estate agent, consider a styled home, a local spot downtown or even a co-working space. Your ideal client can imagine you showing them a home, and it makes for more welcoming images. It also helps communicate your messaging around the home buying journey, and how you will make the process as smooth as possible for them.

That’s what we did for Kristen Comstock’s brand photoshoot! Her vibrant purple hair and stunning eyes really captures the viewer. I loved her wardrobe choice, with a good mix of styles, and she incorporated her signature purple in some of her wardrobe pieces. We captured those calm, welcoming vibes with her casual outfits, and more smiles, laughter and bright expressions. We also incorporate the boss lady aesthetic with her dressed up looks, and more serious expressions.

We were planning to do a studio session, but to make it easier for travel, I brought my backdrop and paper roll to the styled home! We set up the purple paper roll in the living room, close to natural light, and it worked out great. So much variety from this shoot. Scroll down and click through some of my favorites below.

Are you a real estate agent or photographer who needs help planning a brand photoshoot? I’d love to work together 1:1 to plan it together! The session includes a strategy call, shot list and moodboard to follow, and a posing guide. Shoot me a note here for more details, and to get your planning session on the calendar!
